A fellowship-trained intensivist, Dr. Wong has had a busy career, dividing his time between anesthesia, critical care, and administrative duties. After receiving both medical school and residency training at the College of Medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Wong completed a critical care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Subsequently, he worked at the University of California, Los Angeles and West Los Angeles VA Hospital as a cardiac anesthesiologist.
Most recently, he joined Mission Anesthesia Consultants, a private practice group in Orange County, where he serves as a member of the Board of Directors and is an active participant of numerous hospital committees. Dr. Wong is also an active ICU physician at the Long Beach VA hospital, where he teaches medical students and residents from the University of California, Irvine.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Wong has also been working with Anesthesiology Consultants, helping to conduct our West Coast seminars. He greatly enjoys helping others gain the Consultant skills needed to pass the Oral Boards. Our students are grateful and fortunate to have his anesthesia and critical care expertise.
