Dr. Shobana Murugan

Shobana Murugan’s commitment to learning is seen in her completion of two fellowships: one in Obstetrical Anesthesia at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the other in Pain Management at Beth Isreal Deaconnes Medical Center. After completing both fellowships, she worked as an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, where she pursued her interests in obstetrical anesthesia, transplant medicine, vascular surgery, pain management, residency education, and perioperative simulation. Currently, she works at the Pavilion for Women and St Luke’s Hospital, part of US Anesthesia Partners in Houston, Texas.

Respected by residents and coworkers, Dr. Murugan’s diverse background and commitment to the education have made her an expert in a wide array of topics. Her consultant skills and years of teaching have made her a versatile, popular, and skilled Oral Board Instructor par excellence.
