Dr. Robert Prior Jamplis, M.D., M.B.A., is a distinguished anesthesiologist and U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander with a dynamic background in aviation, military medicine, and academic leadership. He currently serves at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Jacksonville and holds staff privileges at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville through Sunshine State Anesthesia Partners. Dr. Jamplis completed his anesthesiology residency at the National Capital Consortium, where he was appointed Chief Resident at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. His multidisciplinary training includes an M.D. from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
A former Naval Aviator, Dr. Jamplis executed over 2,400 flight hours, led aircrew training programs, and played a critical role in humanitarian missions, including the 2011 Japanese tsunami relief. His clinical and academic work is underscored by multiple peer-reviewed publications and national conference presentations, including research on perioperative nausea prophylaxis and point-of-care ultrasound.
