Dr. Evan J. Richards, is a board-certified anesthesiologist, flight surgeon, and decorated U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with extensive experience in military medicine, aerospace physiology, and special operations medical support. A graduate of the Uniformed Services University and former resident of anesthesiology at San Antonio Military Medical Center, Dr. Richards has served in high-intensity operational environments around the globe—including combat deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is currently based at Nellis Air Force Base as a Special Operations Surgical Team (SOST) leader and serves as Associate Anesthesiologist with US Anesthesia Partners in Nevada.
Dr. Richards has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications spanning emergency medicine, aerospace effects, and point-of-care ultrasound. He is certified in a wide range of critical care and trauma procedures, including REBOA and Tactical Combat Casualty Care, and has trained in advanced mobility and evasive medical operations. His clinical expertise is matched by a commitment to education, with previous roles as a hyperbaric, parachute, and night-vision instructor. Dr. Richards joins the Anconsultants team with a unique blend of operational leadership, academic rigor, and passion for advancing anesthesiology in extreme and austere environments.
