Rishi Modi is a board certified anesthesiologist who is fellowship-trained in regional anesthesia. He obtained his residency training at the University of Texas in Houston, his fellowship in Regional Anesthesia in the University of New Mexico.
At Baylor College of Medicine, where he practices today, Dr. Modi continues to administer quality perioperative care for a variety of high-acuity cases, including those with difficult airways, major trauma, and complicated vascular, orthopedic, and neurologic comorbidities. With an emphasis on evidence-based medicine, he is actively engaged in residency education, making sure his trainees receive a first-class education through didactic instruction, lectures, and hands-on instruction.
Dr. Modi has given several presentations on regional anesthesia and helped conduct numerous workshops in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. He has authored protocols on beta-blocker use and obstetrical procedures. He has also served as a Physician Champion for several perioperative quality improvement initiatives at his current place of practice.
