Dr. Brian McAlary

Brian McAlary received his medical school training from Harvard Medical School, after which he served on active duty with the US Navy for approximately twelve years. During that time, he was appointed both Chair of the Department of Anesthesia at the National Naval Medical Center and Director of Medical Corps Education and Training. As Director, Dr. McAlary was tasked with coordinating the medical training of all Navy physicians worldwide. During is tenure, he was credited with enhancing the quality of military medical training, improving the relevance clinical instruction, and reducing costs by million of dollars.

Following his military career, Dr. McAlary worked as Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center, where he was responsible for both medical student and resident evaluation and skills development. He subsequently entered private anesthesia practice, where he initiated several Acute/Chronic Pain Management Programs. He has served as Consultant with smaller facilities to facilitate their Continuous Quality Improvement Programs and reducing the incidence of preventable adverse patient outcomes.

Currently, Dr. McAlary lives in Virginia, where he still works as a Consultant a high-tech, self-designed, custom-made studio, working via home/office based video-conferencing.
